Data was collected utilizing State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory (Spielberger, 1998). The findings, based on dependent t-test, revealed that anger temperament and anger expression were decreased. Also, anger management training had a significant impact on the increase of anger control-in and anger control-out. In addition, independent t-test revealed that there is a significant difference between fathers and mothers in anger reaction, anger temperament, and anger control-in, and anger control-out.</p>
<fullTextUrl>http://psychological-research.com/Article/52906</fullTextUrl><keywords><keyword>anger control</keyword><keyword> cognitive-behavioral model</keyword></keywords></record><record>
<publisher> Psychological Research</publisher><journalTitle>پژوهش های روانشناختی</journalTitle><issn>1019-9616</issn><eissn> 1019-9616</eissn><publicationDate>2026-02</publicationDate><volume>16</volume><issue>2</issue><startPage>27</startPage><endPage>41</endPage><documentType>article</documentType>
Predictive Role of Identity Styles on Religious Orientation in College Students
<authors>

<affiliationId>1</affiliationId>
</authors><affiliationsList><affiliationName affiliationId="1">department of clinical psychology faculty of psuchology and educational science semnan univercity</affiliationName></affiliationsList>
<p>The present research was conducted for investigating the predictive role of identity styles on religious orientation in college students. In a cross-sectional descriptive study, 159 college students of Semnan University were selected by random sampling and completed the demographical questionnaire, Identity Styles Inventory (ISI), and Religious Orientation Scale (ROS). Data were analyzed by stepwise multiple regression by using PASW software. Normative identity style and informative identity style had significant role in prediction of intrinsic religious orientation, and undifferentiated/avoidant identity style has significant role in prediction of extrinsic religious orientation (P&lt;0/001). These there factors explained 39% of intrinsic religious orientation and 27% of extrinsic religious orientation.</p>
<fullTextUrl>http://psychological-research.com/Article/52907</fullTextUrl><keywords><keyword>identity style</keyword><keyword> religious orientation</keyword><keyword> college students</keyword></keywords></record><record>
<publisher> Psychological Research</publisher><journalTitle>پژوهش های روانشناختی</journalTitle><issn>1019-9616</issn><eissn> 1019-9616</eissn><publicationDate>2026-02</publicationDate><volume>16</volume><issue>2</issue><startPage>42</startPage><endPage>58</endPage><documentType>article</documentType>
Content Analysis of the 3rd-Grade Guidance School Student's Text Books in Regard to Emotional Intelligence
<authors>

<affiliationId>1</affiliationId>
</authors><affiliationsList><affiliationName affiliationId="1">Birjand University, Birgand, Iran</affiliationName></affiliationsList>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This study was conducted to investigate the degree to which the components of emotional intelligence were considered in 3rd-grade guidance school student's textbooks. The method of this quantitative research was content analysis. The population consisted of all textbooks taught to 3rd-grade guidance school students in 2009-2010 school-year. In the content analysis process, codification was made deductively according to the five components of emotional intelligence. In order to ensure the validation of codification process, a second referee was used, too. In the study, context unit consisted of lessons and those of recording included content, illustrations, and exercises. The rate of agreements between two referees was 0.81. The findings showed that in the studied textbooks, little consideration has been given to the components of emotional intelligence and even ignored in some of the textbooks. It can be concluded that curriculum designers and educational field experts must take into account developing of emotional intelligence with all its components in students through the textbooks they provide.</p>
<fullTextUrl>http://psychological-research.com/Article/52908</fullTextUrl><keywords><keyword>emotional intelligence</keyword><keyword> textbooks</keyword><keyword> content analysis</keyword></keywords></record><record>
<publisher> Psychological Research</publisher><journalTitle>پژوهش های روانشناختی</journalTitle><issn>1019-9616</issn><eissn> 1019-9616</eissn><publicationDate>2026-02</publicationDate><volume>16</volume><issue>2</issue><startPage>59</startPage><endPage>75</endPage><documentType>article</documentType>
Work-Related Demands, Goal Engagement Control Strategies, and Positive Affect Component of Subjective Well-Being
<authors>

<affiliationId>1</affiliationId>
</authors><affiliationsList><affiliationName affiliationId="1">University of Isfahan, Isfahan, Iran</affiliationName></affiliationsList>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The current research focused on the effects of work-related demands from change in industry structures because of downsizing. Because of change situation, personnel career would be more difficult to plan.This uncertainty will disrupt their positive affect. The aim of the current research was to investigate these relations, also whether one important individual difference variable, namely goal engagement control strategy, buffered against this disruption. Participants were 715 personnel of one industrial company who were selected randomly and responded to research instruments, namely Perceived Work-Related Demands, Control strategies, and Positive Affect Scales. Findings indicated that employed respondents showed lower positive affect if they reported higher level of work-related demands, and goal engagement induced positive affect. However, it could not buffer the effects of perceived work-related demands on positive affect.</p>
<fullTextUrl>http://psychological-research.com/Article/52909</fullTextUrl><keywords><keyword>work-related demands</keyword><keyword> goal engagement</keyword><keyword> control strategies</keyword><keyword> positive affect</keyword></keywords></record><record>
<publisher> Psychological Research</publisher><journalTitle>پژوهش های روانشناختی</journalTitle><issn>1019-9616</issn><eissn> 1019-9616</eissn><publicationDate>2026-02</publicationDate><volume>16</volume><issue>2</issue><startPage>76</startPage><endPage>91</endPage><documentType>article</documentType>
Efficacy of Metacognitive Therapy on Anxiety and Its Effect on Worry and Quality of Life of Individuals with Generalized Anxiety Disorder
<authors>

<affiliationId>1</affiliationId>
</authors><affiliationsList><affiliationName affiliationId="1">Roudehen Islamic Azad University, Roudehen, Iran</affiliationName></affiliationsList>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This study surveys the efficacy of Metacognitive Therapy (MCT) on anxiety symptoms and it&rsquo;s Impact on worry and quality of life of persons with generalized anxiety disorder.
